Hello Darlings! I hope everyone has had an amazing Sunday Funday so far! Today I've decided to share this dolled up look that speaks to my soul! Paired with the most comfortable sandals and a beach hat, this skater set will probably be getting the most wear out of everything in my wardrobe during these hot summer months. Skater sets are insanely versatile because well...they are sets! You can mix and match with printed tees and flowy pants or even top it off with a denim jacket for those breezy summer nights. Linked here is this darling gingham set from Tobi and make sure to size up one size, I'm wearing a large!
A few of you have been inquiring about what extensions I'm currently using and at the moment I can't seem to get enough of the Bellami Guy Tang Balayage 160G 20" Ombre #8 Ash Brown/ #60 Ash Blonde. I am no way affiliated with Bellami, I have just always loved the quality of hair for the price and will continue to order my clip-in extensions from them!
Linked here are my absolute favorite TEVA Flatform sandals of the moment and did I mention how comfortable they are? I can work insanely long salon days and my feet never hurt an ounce, I also purchased these flatforms in black.
Thank you kindly for taking time to visit my blog today! I hope you have a lovely start to your week! Please Comment and Share!
Hey guys! Thank you so much for taking time to see what I've been into lately! Currently, its all about sleeve detail and i'm sure if your into style at all you've heard of a Bardot top, or at least wonder why everyone is wearing fluffy sleeves. My reasoning behind this fab off the shoulder trend is how flattering it wears on so many body types, and how easy it is to style it up with white denim, distressed shorts, or in my case a JUMPER! I would like to give a quick shout out to the fashion Gods for circling the jumper aka overalls around again. I have been waiting for my chance to style this jumper up for some time now and finally found the perfect top to pair it with! I have a love/hate relationship with Tobi ... I love everything I find on site but absolutely hate that I can't just have it all! Currently this top is $76 and such amazing quality!
You can purchase my Sleeve it to me off the shoulder top here (I'm wearing a size L) and linked below are my comfy birkenstocks I paired with this look!
I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend! I'll be heading to the coast for the weekend and plan to soak up as much sun as possible (weather permitting) and take a million photos per usual. I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! What is your favorite summer trend right now?

Hey guys! I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!
I have been so busy lately I didn't even realize it was Sunday! Luckily in the midst of my busy schedule I found some time to start putting a few things together for an upcoming trip.
Every year as I plan for summer festivities I dive into my closet to see whats been collecting dust over the colder months and re-discover my collection of shift dresses all over again.
Shift dresses are the perfect item to travel with, 1. Easy to pack 2. Easy to wear 3. Easy to style, and the perfect piece to transition from hot summer days (sandals & sunscreen) to cool summer evenings (denim jacket & booties). This pretty number is from Tobi and happens to have the perfect waistline to disguise all the wine and pasta i'll be devouring over the next few weeks!
I will link pictured outfit details below along with a few other staple shift dresses I cannot live without!
Comment below what your go-to summer outfit entails!

I picked up my For Love & Lemons bralette from Shop218!
Below are a few other shift dresses I'm obsessing over!
I am currently loving the new Kaplan MD "Perfect Pout Lipstick" in the shade "Santa Monica". The formulation of this lippy is perfect for hot summer months as it plumps, has an SPF30 to protect, hydrates and repairs! Plus the pigmentation is amazing! The best part about these new lipsticks is they are handmade in L.A. with 22 organic extracts, and each named after iconic L.A. neighborhoods! I've been wearing Santa Monica nonstop lately and cannot wait to transition this nude lip into cooler months!
I paired mine with MAC Stripdown pictured above.
Thank you for taking time to visit my blog! I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!

Hey guys! I hope everyone had a lovely week and made it through the crazy rainstorms!
I am so ready for sunshine here in South Carolina! Speaking of Sunshine I bring to you this completely casual, everyday look that is perfect for a sunny day! Lately the evenings have still been a bit chilly so I've paired this off the shoulder dress (worn as a top) with some casual fitted denim. I've fallen in love with the "raw hem" denim trend and have even spent a little extra time at home to DIY some of my favorite jeans. There is nothing more girly to me than an off the shoulder top, and as a lover of bold prints this piece adds the perfect touch to spice up any wardrobe. Now to the star of the show...my new favorite accessory! I have been wearing my Jord watch 24-7 since the day I received it in the mail. I am completely blown away by this company from the craftsmanship to the customer service, they have it all!
I almost fainted when I opened the box over the beauty of the presentation and overall quality! I chose the Zebrawood and Turquoise for myself and what a perfect choice it was! The pop of color adds a smile to my face every time I see it, and at first glance I knew it was the watch for me! With this everyday style I chose to pair my pretty time piece with some sentimental bracelets which were gifts from friends and a cute little olive wood bracelet from a summer trip to Croatia that adds a little more of that wooden texture to the look. You can find my watch linked HERE .
Now onto the good stuff...

Love you to the moon!

Hey Guys! I hope everyone is having a lovely week so far! My life has been a complete whirlwind the last few months and I promise to update you as soon as I get back to normal. Until then here is a little style shoot from day 3 of our Orlando weekend adventure! I am lucky enough to have this look (exact photo below) re-posted on @nordstromrack ! Please take a minute to click the link and show me some love!
The tropical backdrop is located on the beautiful grounds of DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Universal and vibes perfectly with this spring look that easily transitions into hot summer months. Bohemian by nature, I adore anything with pattern so this floral number really speaks to my soul and is currently unavailable on the Nordstrom Rack Site, so I have linked a few similar here, here, here, and here.
I made sure to keep my hair and makeup simple and chic by sticking to natural bronze tones and textured waves. Being a tad lazy when it comes to hair styling (my own) I strategically plan shampoo days so my waves will last the allotted amount of vacation days/style days before it ends up in a lifeless knot. Day three hair seemed appropriate for a baby top knot and a ton of texture by adding in R+Co Badlands Dry Shampoo Paste then finishing with a mix of Dry Texture Spray and Salt Spray. My hair naturally has a beach wave so I never touch up my waves on adventure weekends, or even bring a curling iron with me.
As for makeup, ColourPop "Botanical" Liquid Lipstick (linked similar) gave me that perfect pop of coral to match a sunny Florida day.
(Side Note) I really do love ColourPop Cosmetics from the formulations to the price point but they release so many different lipstick shades its insane! I'll purchase a hand full and by the time I've worn one shade for a week or so it's no longer available, or its been re-formulated and given a different name! I can't keep up!
Now what is a girly spring look without the perfect shoe?! I take my shoe shopping very seriously and have put these babies to the test. Eight hours of wear and not a single blister or ache in sight! These wedges easily dress up any outfit and are a total must have for spring/summer, definitely my go-to pair! Badgley Mischka does it again! Similar linked here, here and here.

I hope Easter weekend was as lovely for everyone as it was for me! I was lucky enough to have a couple days free of work and last minute per usual Ivan and I packed our bags and headed a little further south for the weekend! We usually plan things last minute and were lucky enough to snag a sweet room at Double Tree by Hilton Hotels at the Entrance to Universal Orlando
Talk about a room with a view such as Universal Studios! We love Hilton Hotels and try to stay as often as possible! The staff at this Double Tree was exceptional, made our stay personable and of course I can't forget to mention the cookies!

For the Love of Palms!
I always snap way too many photos on our little adventures and palm trees sure do make amazing props so I couldn't resist sharing a few of them from our trip.
Lake Eola made for a sweet afternoon stroll following our $3.00 margarita happy hour encounter, and stuffing our jaws with so much guacamole! I live for a yummy rita and some fresh guac! Definitely check out Mucho Tequila and Tacos for a chill lunch.
I am completely obsessed with linen at the moment! Below I have linked a few similar spring/summer pieces I won't be living without!
Usually behind the camera, I couldn't resist snapping a few pics of this smiling face!
One Tequila, Two Tequila, Three Tequila, Shopping!

A few weeks ago I booked a model call and that particular morning I gathered my things and headed to set a little early to make sure I had time for hair and makeup. Some of these jobs I book already know I'm a hair and makeup artist by trade so they will ask me to style myself to my liking, other times they hire artists to provide the look they want to portray which I love because its nice to relax and focus on the shoot ahead, plus I've never really had a "bad" glam experience at a professional shoot.
Usually the artists on set will tell you "Oh the look today is more glowy with a nude lip, how would you like your brows? Do you over line your lips? etc...Today was the exception to every rule I have ever known or learned in my little glam life experiences...Today was as if I were cat fished.
The evening before a rep from my agency said "Oh they have hair and makeup on set with 15+ years of experience" so I had no worries, fingers crossed I was a little giddy to maybe learn some new tips and tricks from a well known makeup veteran.
I sat in her chair and everything seemed so professional, I was so at ease knowing her logo was on everything and seemed to constantly talk highly of herself...Until momentarily when my heart dropped through my asshole and she came at my face full speed with a dirty foundation brush.
In that moment I realized some horrible makeup artist potion were cast on me and I was petrified. Before she moved on to the next step I kindly built up the courage to ask her if she had ever heard of this Clinique brush cleanser that I'm obsessed with (to spot clean), because it saves me so much time while I'm working. She pretended not to hear me and I made sure to say it in a way where I wasn't rude or insulting because in her eyes I still had a smile on my face.
By this time she had already moved on to brows (my prized possession) so I kindly said "What is the look we are going for today?" she replied "Natural and glowy with a glossy pink lip" so I replied "Okay, lovely and if we are wearing brow product I do like mine a little more natural/wild and not so drawn on" (which is my signature look). She replied "Oh I have to do what they tell me"... I started to sense a hint of sass...Obviously lady...by this time I was aggravated.
I am 100% perfect with wearing any look the job sets me up with (that's the point right?) but what peeved me is that every brush she used on me was so damn dirty all the work from her last three jobs had been transferring onto my face. I could just feel the bacteria harvesting in my little pores I had just microdermed off a couple days prior.
I wanted to vomit...and it didn't help that the whole time she had been talking about how "her company this, and her company that and I've been a makeup artist for fifteen plus years now, and have taught so many seminars, and my work has been featured in so many magazines" basically making me feel stupid for talking about what I like best for my face shape and facial features...I mean it is my face... and I am still wondering if you teach all of your assistants (by the way there were 4) how to harvest bacteria or how to separate the lashes with the mascara wand you just used to apply mascara to me straight from the tube without a disposable spoolie and you continued to use on every girl at the shoot?!
Lesson number one through one million in cosmetics is to sanitize and sanitize and if your not sure then sanitize again. In the nearly 6 years I've been in this industry I have disinfected and sanitized my tools so much sometimes its easier just to buy new ones because the sanitize eats at the bristles and you have to replace it anyways.
I hate this party of the industry more than anything... the "know it all, experience matters over talent" type of vibe. I never mentioned to her that I am a fellow makeup artist by trade and maybe if I had she might have not pretended like I were stupid but from artist to artist PLEASE clean your damn equipment! You absolutely do not have to have the nicest, expensive products or brushes but your tools are your money makers, your cleanliness reflects your work vibe and how can you expect to have a wonderful work of art if your last weeks work of art is still infested in the bristles?
Imagine walking into a Mac counter and yes they have the most wonderful products but what are the products if the tools they are using to apply them with are dirty? You know how many people go through the mall everyday, what if they all stop and the brushes he/she uses to apply your lipstick with touches 100 others without being cleaned?
Life is way to damn short to get a life threatening bacterial infection or a hellacious breakout. You do not have to be a certified makeup artist to learn what a clean brush can do for your game. Trust me! Have a brush spot cleaner on hand and take ten minutes out of your day once a week (personal brushes) and really deep clean them!
All you need is a little brush shampoo and Voila! Your products will apply much smoother, you will not have random shadows from the colors buried in the brushes and better yet you'll save yourself from getting a blemish the size of Uranus.
Thank you for taking time to visit my blog today and tune into my little rant! My intention with this post is not to offend anyone by any means, but to share my latest experience and inform/encourage you to clean your tools so each makeup application you have is continuously flawless! Also, I understand not all artists are like this and I have had 100 other pleasant experiences to make up for this one! Please do not take this post to heart and feel free to leave your comments below and let me know if you have also had any freakishly weird or wonderful experiences with "Veteran" Makeup Artists!
I have linked some of my favorite Go-To brush cleansers here, here and here.
Also in the photos down below!
The Brushes in these pictures seem to be sold out but are linked from a fun little store here.
Hey Loves! I hope each and every one of you are having a fab day!
Today being "Valentine's Day" I thought it would be the perfect time to share a little story about how my Valentine and I met! This isn't really a traditional love story but romantic none the less...
If I remember correctly we met around the summer of 2014, I was newly 23 and out of an unproductive long term relationship that just didn't quite add up. I had been working full time at Karma Salon in Barboursville, WV and weekends in downtown Huntington at Jockey Club. My main goal at that time was to work my ass off and put as much money away as possible so I could spend some much needed time traveling and moving to a new city.
Blowing icy kisses to @kaplanmd while wearing my favorite lip 20 treatment gloss in "natural sparkle" ...this stuff is the reason my lips stay hydrated in this cold ass weather! Click the link and get some of this yummy lip treatment! #thereallipstickgypsyapproved
This year I was lucky enough to glam this beautiful bride on her special day! Class is an understatement when it came to the decor and style, so of course the glam had to match. My job is made easy when it comes with a bride as beautiful as Cara, inside and out! I can't wait to share further images and details of the amazing look we created! I know tons of you are asking about bridal details so I promise I will list them! Being this is a new year I still have a few weekends available for the 2017 Wedding Season! Please feel free to check out my booking page for further information and feel free to email me regarding your special occasion!
